New Porn Daily: 20 short films by Andrew Blake

Many people encounter Andrew Blake's kind of porn and never feel the need to try anything else; his name is synonymous with a style of beautifully-shot and sometimes disaffected erotica that puts him in a class by himself, for better or worse.

For many average citizens, Blake's is one of the few names from the porn industry they recognize.

I have seen maybe one minute of one of his films (actually shot on film) four years ago.

But here is Jade Starr, photographed for Blake's X, which is not to be confused with Metro's X-Rated, in a characteristically long-leggedy pose.

Blake said he shot each of the models improvisationally, only using himself as the crew and slowly compiling a movie's-worth of scenes.

"Instead of an individual model becoming the focus, the dominant nature of the director becomes the 'star'," he said.

That's great. Talent is getting so goddamn uppity lately.

It is a stunning testament to Blake's banality that he can take a stunning model like Jade Starr and make her look boring and anonymous. Seriously, I never would have guessed that this is Jade Starr if you hadn't identified her as such; this photo looks so dated, it seems to have been taken years before Jade was born.

That would make this ... PRE-FETUS PORN! Blake is a genius and Starr is the world's first PFILF.
