I recall working for an industry-leading trade publication and remarking to one of my many superiors there that the tape I was screening looked good for a homemade amateur video.He looked at me and said, "That isn't amateur; that is from one of our biggest advertisers."
The O' Face Festival, a collection of amateur erotic films, will debut and be voted on at June's Exxxotica - Miami Beach convention.
There is always a tradeoff betwen pro and amateur content of any variety, but consumer technology has evolved to the point that amateur material can be indistinguishable from the type of stuff people like me get press releases for several times a day. And the citizens of the greater Miami-Dade area probably have some powerful stripper, gerontology, and manatee-based erotica to work out filmically.
And it is encouraging that the O' Face Festival uses an apostrophe where they should use quotation marks; that suggests that the films might be up to professional porn's high standards.
