iClam

Video-X-Pix, the classic porn backlog company, is now releasing some titles for viewing on the video-capable iPod. Imagine seeing an 80's chestnut like, oh, I don't know, Pink Clam on a 21st-century product. Your head would probably explode (probably exacerbated by all the squinting you're doing trying to follow the complex storyline on a 2" screen while a Scanner is probing your mind).

I don't yet have a video iPod. Someone should buy me one. That way I might underfuckingstand why video delivery on such a small screen is worthwhile. Also, does video take up more battery time than strictly audio playback? I need several video iPods for my test labs, stat.

Yea, video uses more battery power than audio playback alone - more intensive processor usage, hence, more power is used.

As I understand it, you don't even NEED an iPod. I think the files are stored in a QuickTime format.

And, FWIW, there is an A/V cable to let you port the video to a VCR/DVDR. (The video is TV quality)

I don't think the big draw is the machine but the content. A lot of vintage TV will be released (along with tons of new stuff). So you can travel to work watching old episodes of Barney Miller if you want. Or last nights Pardon The Interruption.
